Deepika Singh’s mother tests positive for Covid-19; actress seeks Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s help- watch video

‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ fame actress Deepika Singh‘s mother has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. The actress took to her social media handle to urge Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to help her mother get admitted to a hospital.

Deepika’s parents reside in Delhi and she revealed that the hospital that tested her mother refused to hand over the report due to which she cannot get admitted in a hospital. As a last resort, the actress sought CM’s help. She even revealed that her parents live in a joint family and everyone should get tested now.

In her post, the ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ actress said that Delhi’s Lady Hardinge Medical College tested her mother for Covid-19 and despite the results being positive they refused to hand it over to her father. Alongside her video message, Deepika wrote, “My mom has been diagnosed with Covid positive. ‪My mom & dad are in Delhi. The test has been done in Lady Hardinge hospital & they didn’t give reports . They only allowed my father to click its picture. I really hope the concerned personnel are reading this and my mom there receives some relief. We need your help. In the video, Deepika can be heard saying, “My mother has never felt so weak in her life. Even my grandmother has breathing issues. There are 45 people in the house, and now everyone is at risk. My mother had not even stepped out and so we don’t even know how she got infected. We need to get everyone’s test done. Also, everyone is telling her that she should isolate herself at home. But what about the medicines and other care elements. We have no clue what to do.”

The actress even tweeted the picture of her mother’s report and hoped that CM Kejriwal will help her out soon.

Delhi’s Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Singh, replying to Deepika’s tweet wrote, “She has been admitted and is comfortable now, Deepika”. To which the actress replied, “No not yet… she’s at home. My Grandmother is serious, she’s has breathing difficulty they admitted her in Jeevan nursing home. I want their admission in Gangaram hospital also m grandmother & father test to be done in the morning.”

Post which the Commissioner clarified, “Yes, Grandmother has been admitted and for your parents, my staff is in constant touch with you. They should be admitted today.”
