Raqesh Bapat is all set to make his digital debut with Assi Nabbe Poore Sau. Shedding his romantic guy image, Raqesh Bapat, for the first time plays a negative role in the web show. We, at Bollywood Bubble, recently got into an exclusive chat with Raqesh to know about his character, preparations, excitement, and more. Raqesh Bapat also opened up about his bond with ex-wife Ridhi Dogra, their bond after divorce. He mentioned that ‘love was there, and will always be there’ between him and Ridhi Dogra. Ridhi and Raqesh were married for seven years before they separated in 2019.

Talking about his equation with Ridhi Dogra, Raqesh Bapat said, “Our relationship is much better now because somewhere the friendship got affected due to marriage. There’s a lot of pressure that marriage can create on a couple. But, we were always friends and it’s just that marriage happened. I don’t think we both were up (ready) for a marriage. I think just because society wanted us to get married, probably we thought that way.”

“But, I feel, things evolve, we evolve as people and there’s always been mutual respect, there’s always been love and it always will be. We never hated each other when we wanted to get divorced. It was completely a mutual decision. In fact, we are saved from going into a bad phase or a negative vibe, and that’s very bad for any human being to go through,” he added.

He also said that he has no qualms about anything that happened in the past. “There is no regret at all. We’re blessed that we went through whatever we went through. We are much evolved as people right now.”

Ask Raqesh Bapat how separation has affected his relationship with Ridhi Dogra, he said, “When you’re married, it is obviously husband-wife love, it is a relationship that is not just a couple but there are two families involved in it. So, obviously, there is a responsibility, love turns into responsibility and all that.”

He emphasized, “I feel love is when two people respect each other, the most. I can say the love has increased between the both of us now because we respect each other as we’ve never done before. That’s why I say love changes because the definition of love changes.”

While Raqesh Bapats’ project Assi Nabbe Poore Sau releases on March 9, Ridhi Dogra starrer The Married Woman drops in on March 8. We asked Raqesh if his reaction to Ridhi’s role in The Married Woman, and he was in awe of her. “I loved the trailer. How beautifully she has worked yaar. She is a great actor. I called her up and said ‘so proud of you to do something like this.’ And it is a coincidence that our shows are coming back to back. We laughed about it and said this is what happens, like you know it is all planned. I really hope this show works for her because it is looking very promising,” Raqesh told us.

The actor, who is all set to prove his mettle in a grey-shade character in Assi Nabbe Poore Sau also revealed that Ridhi was surprised with his character. “She loved the trailer of my project. She was like you look so different and hats off to you for taking up such challenges,” Raqesh concluded.
