Actor Gaurav Khanna, who played the popular character Anuj Kapadia in the TV show Anupamaa, won many hearts with his performance. So when his role suddenly ended, fans were left sad and confused. This led to rumours that Gaurav left the show because of issues with his co-star Rupali Ganguly.

Gaurav Khanna Hits At Rejoining Rupali Ganguly Anupama

Gaurav Khanna talked about whether he left the show because of a rift with Rupali. To which he stated that neither he nor anyone else playing Anuj would walk away from such an important role over personal issues. Speaking to Pinkvilla, he said, “Anuj Kapadia, for me, is a comma; there’s no fullstop. Rajan Sir hasn’t killed the character. It’s just that there’s no space in the story for him. But it is Indian Television. Anyone can be alive and there are many examples. However, that doesn’t mean that I’m coming back to the show. But never say never.”

Furthermore, talking about his possibility to return Anupamaa, saying it’s one of his favourite roles. He said, “Why not! It is one of my most cherished characters but I think every story has a texture.”

Gaurav Khanna’s Journey In TV

Gaurav was praised a lot for his role in Anupamaa, where he starred alongside Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey. Viewers especially loved the on-screen chemistry between Gaurav and Rupali as Anuj and Anupamaa.

Besides Anupamaa, Gaurav has acted in several other TV shows like CID, Kumkum: Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan, Meri Doli Tere Angna, Jeevan Saathi, Sasural Simar Ka, Tere Bin, and Gangaa.
