‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ Parth Samthaan confirms being tested positive for Coronavirus

Television actor Parth Samthaan has tested positive for Covid-19. The news has been confirmed by Parth himself on Instagram. He has resumed shoot for his daily soap ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ since June 27.

A few days back, Parth shared a few behind-the-scenes photos from the ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ set on Instagram. He captioned them, “Back to Shoot after 3 months. Back to normalcy ! #unlockindia.”

Confirming the news of COVID-10 positive, Parth wrote, “Hi everyone , I had mild symtomps and got myself tested. And yes I have been tested Postive for Covid 19 …hence I would urge and request everyone whose been with me in close promitixy over the last few days please go and get yourself tested . The Bmc has regularly been in touch and with the doctors guidance I am in self quarantine and I am grateful to them for all their support . Please be safe and take care(sic)”.

Meanwhile, Balaji Telefilms spokesperson released a statement that read: “We would like to inform various stakeholders that one of our talents from the show ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now receiving medical attention. Our first priority is to help protect our talent, production crew and employees. We are taking all the precautions detailed in the guideline. We were and will continue following all medical protocols set by the authorities and have implemented guidelines concerning social interactions, hygiene, travel and visits to the sets.”

Parth is playing Anurag Basu in the reboot. Erica Fernandes, who plays Prerna also joined the shoot with Parth. Karan Patel had also joined the cast and he will be essaying the role of Rishabh Bajaj. Recently, a new promo for upcoming episodes was also launched. New episodes were supposed to be aired from July 13.
