The re-run of Ramanand Sagar’s hit serial ‘Ramayan‘ has made the TRP ratings of Doordarshan hit the roof. So you can imagine how people are still so emotionally invested in the show. Back in the day, when ‘Ramayan’ used to air in the 80s, people would make sure to wind up all their work in advance just so that they didn’t lose out on even on a single episode. Even today the viewers are equally enthusiastic about watching the show.

Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia, who played Ram and Sita in the mythological show are still fondly remembered for how beautifully they portrayed the role of the deities.
