Director Ram Gopal Varma, known for his hard hitting films based on some of the notorious underworld characters is back with a new one. The controversial celebrity has made a movie on life of former underworld Don Muthappa Rai from Bangalore. Vivek Oberoi is depicting the role of Rai, a don and an Indian entrepreneur in Varma’s flick aptly named ‘RAI’.

The Maverick filmmaker has recently unveiled the first look of the movie, made on a budget of more than Rs. 55 crores. it is the most expensive film by Ramu. It was launched amidst 55, 000 people with fireworks and laser shows. The film has been shot across Mangalore, Banglore, Mumbai, Dubai, London and Kazakhstan.

Muthappa Rai is a former underworld don and an Indian entrepreneur. He says he ‘renounced’ violence and is based near Bangalore and is at present worshipped by many.
