Ranveer Singh has been in the limelight due to his marriage with Deepika Padukone. On the other hand, he is riding high on the success of ‘Simmba’ and the newly-released trailer of his upcoming film ‘Gully Boy’. And now, the actor is making headlines for another one of his upcoming film – ‘83’.

Notably, Kabir Khan’s directorial ’83’ is a biopic on Kapil Dev, the man who captained the Indian Cricket Team which clinched the first World Cup for India in the year 1983. Ranveer Singh has begun prepping for his upcoming film ‘83’.

Recently, he visited the Lord’s Stadium in England with director Kabir Khan from where he even shared a picture on Instagram. To do justice to his role, the ‘Padmaavat’ actor is being trained by Balwinder Singh Sandhu, a former cricketer who eventually became a well-known coach. Balwinder played an important role in India winning the World Cup.

If the reports are to believed, not only Balwinder but also Kapil Dev himself will teach Ranveer some tips and tricks on the field. Bollywood Life quoted a source as saying, “Ranveer’s cricket coaching will be with Balwinder Singh Sandhu – also a key member of the 1983 World Cup winning squad. While Sandhu and Ranveer will work rigorously to perfect the game, Ranveer will also train with the legend Kapil Dev. Kapil will coach him to perfect his iconic bowling action and Ranveer will work with him to pick up all his mannerisms on and off the field.”

In a recent interview with Bollywood Life, Ranveer had opened up about playing the role of Kapil Dev. The actor said that he doesn’t know how will he get into the skin of the character but is very excited.
