‘2.0’ Making: This BTS video reveals the massive effort that went behind the film’s VFX

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer  ‘2.0’ has been in news since its inception. It is one of the most anticipated movies of this year. Earlier, we have seen many leaked videos and pictures of the movie and today the makers have released a BTS video of the movie which has increased our curiosity.

In the video, we see how the makers have brought trained technicians from across the world. The makers have also revealed facts about the VFX team and process, visualization skills, choreographers, cinematographers and editors among others. From the video, we can make out that ‘2.0’ is the most expensive movie made in India with a budget of over Rs 400 crore.

The release date of the sci-fi film has been postponed many times and finally, it is hitting the screens on 29th November. The news was confirmed by director Shankar Shanmugham through his tweet that read, “Hi everyone, at last the VFX companies promised the final delivery date of the VFX shots. The movie will release on November 29, 2018.”

For the uninitiated, ‘2.0’ is a sequel of 2010 Blockbuster ‘Enthiran’ (Robot) starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles. The movie also marks the Tamil debut of superstar Akshay Kumar, who is all set to play a supervillain in the movie. Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, the movie is written and directed by S. Shankar and co-written by B. Jeyamohan.
