Aamir Khan and Siddharth Roy Kapur's new movie

On Thursday, there was a big announcement done by producer Siddharth Roy Kapur. The former CEO of UTV Motion Pictures launched his new production house Roy Kapur Films, and announced the first three movies of the production house. One of those will see Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist aka actor Aamir Khan playing the lead role.

Earlier, both Aamir and Siddharth have collaborated together on various films which includes their last year’s blockbuster ‘Dangal’. This new project is also a biopic and is based on the life of astronaut Rakesh Sharma. The film is all set to go on floors in the beginning of 2018, after the wrap-up of Aamir’s ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. The film will be helmed by debutant Mahesh Mathai. (Also Read: Aamir Khan gets his ears and nose pierced for ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. The mind is blown!)

Apart from this film, the other two projects lined up to start in Kapur’s new banner are also biopics.

Among them, one will be based on the life of a man named Vijendra Singh who had lost his wife Leela in the Uttarakhand floods. After being presumed dead, Vijendra’s wife was found after a search of 19 months across 1000 villages.

The third film project will be based on the life of a start-up journey of a young entrepreneur Varun Agarwal, who had co-founded apparel company Alma Mater and collaborated with educational institutions across India to make and supply customised sweatshirts to the alumni. This film will be an adaptation of the only book written by Varun, and will be helmed by ‘Dangal’ fame director Nitesh Tiwari.

Well, all these projects are sounding quite interesting and without a doubt we’ll be looking forward to all of them especially the biopic of astronaut Rakesh Sharma which will star Aamir Khan in the titular role.
