Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 new promo features Pankaj Tripathi taking a stand for a better sex education system – WATCH

The release of OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar, is right around the corner. We can’t wait to witness a fresh story. Since the trailer has been released, we have been eagerly waiting to learn more about the film’s storyline. Finally, just two days before the release, Akshay Kumar released a new promo for OMG 2, featuring Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam.

While it was stated that the movie would be based on sex education, there was only a little hint in the trailer. We saw Pankaj Tripathi, playing the character of Kanti Sharan Mudgal and how his son watched something inappropriate on the phone. This later leads to his embarrassment and feelings of shame, after which Kanti takes legal action against the school. Now, the new promo confirms that the story will revolve around the lack of sex education in India among adolescents. It highlights the taboo surrounding open discussions on this topic.

In the promo video, Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi are depicted as engaging in a courtroom debate on curriculum. Pankaj Tripathi portrays a father who is fighting for his son’s rights. He argues on what is crucial in educating today’s generation about the various functionalities of the human body. Sharing the new promo, Akshay wrote in his caption, “उचित और अनुचित का फ़र्क, जानिए ११ अगस्त को (Know the difference between fair and unfair on August 11) #2DaysToOMG2.“

The film has got received censor certification for the 12+ age group in UAE and Oman without any cuts. However, in India, the CBFC has certified it as ‘Adults only.’

Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 also stars Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil. The film is produced by Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah and Rajesh Bahl. It will be releasing in theatres this weekend on 11 August 2023.
