Alia Bhatt shared the adorable message Ibrahim Ali Khan sent her after watching Gangubai Kathiawadi

Alia Bhatt gave one of her career-best performances in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi this year. The actress received widespread acclaim for her role and even commercially the film performed really well at the box-office. A strong contender to take away all the acting awards next year, Alia Bhatt received a lot of compliments for her portrayal but amongst all, which remained the most special one, she shared last night on Koffee With Karan 7.

Alia made an appearance on Karan Johar’s renowned couch with Ranveer Singh in the inaugural episode of the show’s seventh season that aired yesterday. The whole episode was full of fun, emotions and a lot of secrets that came out.

During the rapid fire round, Alia was asked what is the best compliment she received for Gangubai Kathiawadi from the industry, and the actress’ answer was just too cute. She said, “So, I think overall everybody was very loving and lovely and the industry, when they give you love, is amazing. But there’s one person, Ibrahim Ali Khan, who is like, I love him, I am obsessed with him. He is the cutest person I have ever met in my life. He sent me the most amazing message. And Iggy, I love you but I am just doing this because your message is so, so cute.”

Alia then went on to read the message out loud on camera and it was hilarious yet super adorable. She shared, “He messaged me, ‘Had to remove the time to message you personally. I cannot believe this is the same lady I learn from, every time I am on set. You are just phenomenal. You are so so good as Gangu and seeing you as Rani and then watching this film, it’s safe to say you mould yourself effortlessly like water taking shape of its container. So, so good. Best actress in this country.’ I thought it was the cutest message. I have read this message out to everybody. But listen I love him, he is just too cute.”

Karan, who just couldn’t hold back his laugh at the message, responded by saying, “He went Bruce Lee on you.” Even Ranveer reacted quite amazingly to the first line of the message of ‘removing time’. He quipped, “Since you’re busier than Jeff Bezos na in life? Thank you Iggy sir. Charan sparsh Iggyr sir. Thank you for ‘removing the time’ to send the message.”

For the unversed, Ibrahim Ali Khan is Saif Ali Khan’s son and currently he is an assistant director on Karan’s upcoming directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, featuring Ranveer and Alia in the lead. He is reportedly set to make his acting debut with the Hindi remake of Hridayam.

As for the rest of the episode, it has surely set a high bar for the remainder of the season and the audience can surely expect more fireworks from the upcoming episodes.
