Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shared a thought-provoking note on his personal blog in which he spoke about what he called “prosthetic wisdom” and reflected on the human tendency to misunderstand deeper truths, even when they are clearly expressed.
Amitabh Bachchan On Misunderstood Truths
Alongside his reflections, Big B, who is currently a part of the upcoming film Kalki 2, the sequel of 2024, Sci-fi action Kalki 2898 AD, posted an image of himself in the character of Ashwatthama, which has grabbed attention online ahead of the film’s release.
In his note, he wrote that sometimes “what is written or said ‘goes for a bouncer,’” meaning that the real meaning often fails to register with people. He hinted that certain truths, no matter how clearly expressed, are not easily understood, adding that perhaps that is simply the way of the world. He wrote: “Isse pehle jo likha, sab ka sab bouncer gaya, Ji haan huzoor, bouncer. Kisi ko bhi jo asal baat kahi ja rahi thi, samajh mein hi nahin aayi, achha hai. Kuch baatein batane se bhi samajh mein nahin aati logon ko; sansaar ka ravayya yahi hota hai. Khair, jaane do (sic).”
Reflecting on knowledge and achievement, the veteran actor added a philosophical note on growth and learning, “You can never be the wisest, the most knowledge driven, the most accomplished human ever .. there shall ever always be another better than you .. know it, accept it and be in learning to keep at it (sic).”
Amitabh Bachchan On The Importance Of Focusing On One’s Own Abilities
The megastar also underlined the importance of focusing on one’s own abilities and personal horizons rather than trying to step into someone else’s life to acquire something that can never be truly yours. He wrote: “Better to be at it than to, slink into the other human’s life to acquire .. that can never be your own .. so delve deep into your assets and drive the body to its ultimate horizon .. which incidentally never does get reached … Oh ! what a lovely world we live in .. prosthetic wisdom (sic) !!!”
Meanwhile, speculation around the film’s casting continues to circulate. Reports suggest that Sai Pallavi might replace Deepika Padukone in the role of Sumati. However, the makers have not confirmed any such development so far.
