Amitabh Bachchan, who is gearing up for the release of his movie Uunchai, made a request with his fans. He urged his fans to go and watch the movie in theatres. Big B further revealed the reason for the same as well. Ahead of the release of movie Uunchai, Amitabh Bachchan spoke at length on how the audience is not going to the movies.

Big B recently hosted his Uunchai co-stars Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Neena Gupta, on his show Kaun Banega Crorepati. He made his request to his fans, and the viewers of KBC.

Sr Bachchan said, “Theatre jakar, ticket khareed kar picture dekhne ka jo maza hai vo kujh aur hi hota hai. Kripya karke jaiyega theatre mein humari tasveere dekhne, aajkal badi maramari chal ri hai, koi ja hi nahi raha hai theatre mein. Haad jodte hain hum aapke, ticket lekar jaiyega (there is a different joy in going to the theatre and watching a movie after buying a ticket. The situation is very tough these days, no one is going to theatre. I join my hands and request you to buy tickets and watch our movie in theatres).”

Neena Gupta during the show said that the prices of the tickets are also down. She mentioned that the prices of the movie tickets have dropped from Rs 300-400 to Rs 150. The actress asked Big B to share the same with his audience. Sr Bachchan and the audience were in splits.

Talking about Uunchai, the movie is directed by Sooraj Barjatya and is slated to release on November 11. It features Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Danny Denzongpa as four friends in their twilight years. The film also sees Neena Gupta, Sarika and Parineeti Chopra in key roles.
