Anjana Sukhani recently interacted with us where she spoke about the lockdown, her quarantine days, battling depression and a lot more about her life and career. Talking about the lockdown period, she said, “God has given us time to reflect, contemplate and make the right choice in life. Whatever comes, it has to pass.” She is also learning Spanish in the lockdown and helping her mother in household chores to keep herself busy.

Many people tend to have a mental breakdown amid the lockdown. When Anjana was asked about it, she said, “Specially in our situation when you are locked down, it can get difficult for people who are challenged with a mental disorder. Because you need to breathe out in nature. When you are closer to nature, you feel much better. When I used to go for a walk or run or jog, it would make me feel better and now because of the lockdown, that is not possible for me. So, I put a lot of soothing sound in my home. I love jazz music so I put a lot of jazz music, “ adding, “we just have to find ways to keep ourself diverted. We are blessed that we live in the age of the internet and globalisation and nothing is really further away. You should find ways to keep yourself self-occupied and happy.”

For the unversed, Anjana had earlier fought depression and she had overcome it.
