Anurag Kashyap reveals he once tried to play peacemaker between Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu

Since the last few months, we have seen Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu engaged in a war of words. Generally, its Kangana who makes sure to slam Taapsee at every given opportunity. And Taapsee too hits back sarcastically. And thus it goes on.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently revealed that he has tried his best to mend things between these two actresses since both of them are his friends.

Anurag in a recent interview revealed why things soured between Taapsee and Kangana and how he tried to sort things between them. So it all started when during a promotional interview of ‘Manmarziyaan’ Taapsee was asked what product she would suggest for Kangana and she had said ‘Double filter’. Ever since then both Kangana and her sister Rangoli lash out the ‘Badla’ actress at every given opportunity. So much so that Rangoli even called Taapsee a ‘sasti copy’ of Kangana. Recently the ‘Queen’ actress even labelled Taapsee as a ‘B-grade’ actress. And not just that she even called Kashyap a mini Mahesh Bhatt.

Now in his interview with NDTV, Anurag said, “Taapsee is also a friend and I said that two friends are there and why are they saying things to each other… I called her (Kangana) and asked her and she put the whole conversation on social media and I was just there like a friend trying to sort things out.”

The director further added, “I am saying okay if you are hurt by that, I will apologize for that. That’s what friends do. But she has gone on to a mode where ‘If (you) are not with me you are my enemy’.”

We wonder if this war of words between Kangana and Taapsee will ever stop.
