The kind of times we are living in, being apolitical is one of the biggest crime that you can commit. Dissent is necessary for any democratic country if they are striving to be a progressive nation. Freedom of speech cannot be curbed and one should not be afraid of using it. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has openly expressed his strong views against the Bhartiya Janta Party. Kashyap fiercely protested against the Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA).

But despite the nationwide protest, CAA came into effect on January 10. And that made Kashyap openly demand to see PM Modi’s degree in ‘entire political science’. He went on to add that the PM should first show the entire nation his birth certificate, his father’s as well as his entire family’s certificate and then ask others to prove their citizenship.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Kashyap expressed his anger. In his post, the filmmaker said, “I want to see PM’s degree in ‘entire political science’. First, prove that PM is educated then we will talk.”

When a twitter user pointed out how the government did not even initiate a dialogue over the protest against the CAA and simply passed the act, Kashyap replied, “This government will do dialogue if they know how to talk. They can not face a single question that’s not been vetted, they don’t have a plan, they haven’t put out a system. This is a dumb government. There CAA is like demonetisation. No plan. No vision. Just bullying (sic)”

Several B-town celebs like Swara Bhasker, Taapsee Pannu, Sayani Gupta, Sushant Singh, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub have protested against the CAA. However, despite the nationwide protest, the act has been brought to enforcement.
