Recently, Anushka Sharma responded to a social media post highlighting that the real heroes are the army men, not Bollywood stars or cricketers, despite their fame.

Anushka Sharma Reacts To Post On Army Men Being REAL Heroes

The post stated, “Days like these remind us that Army men are the true heroes, not Bollywood stars or cricketers.” Anushka Sharma showed her support by liking the post on Instagram after it was shared by a meme account. Besides her acting career, Anushka is married to cricketer Virat Kohli, who has a massive global following.

Anushka Shows Support For Indian Armed Forces

Before this, Anushka took to her Instagram Stories to thank the Indian Armed Forces for their role in safeguarding the country amidst escalating tensions with Pakistan. She called Indian soldiers heroes and appreciated the sacrifices made by them and their families. She wrote, “Eternally grateful to our Indian Armed Forces for protecting us through these times like the heroes that they are. Heartfelt gratitude to the sacrifices they and their families have made. Jai Hind.”

Anushka Sharma is the daughter of Colonel (retired) Ajay Kumar Sharma, who has served in every major conflict since 1982, including Operation Blue Star and the Kargil War. She was only 11 years old when her father fought in the Kargil War in 1999. In a 2012 interview with ETimes, Anushka shared, “Kargil was a tough one. I was too young then, but I remember feeling scared when I saw my mother. She would keep the TV on all day and get upset whenever casualties were announced.” She added, “I take pride in saying that I am an army officer’s daughter even more than being an actor.”

Anushka’s Career

On the professional front, Anushka Sharma appears to be on a break from Bollywood. Her last film was Zero in 2018, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Although she has completed shooting for Chakda ‘Xpress, its release date has not yet been announced.
