Bappi Lahiri has left behind a legacy of his own with his music. The singing legend passed away on Tuesday night and has left everyone heartbroken. Bappi Da, who had achieved a feat in his singing career was popularly known as Bollywood’s ‘Disco King’. He was loved and adored for his peppy songs. Bappi Lahiri was popular in the 80s and 90s. He even made a Guinness World Book record and achieved a big feat with his collaboration in the music industry.

While Bappi Da was quite popular in Bollywood; were you aware that he made his Hollywood entry too? The singer had voiced a Hollywood movie that Dwayne Johnson was a part of. The late singer had sung a song for the Disney movie Moana. He had given his voice for the character of Tamatoa, the Giant crab in the animated movie. Bappi Lahiri had sung the song for the character of Tamatoa. Moana was released in 2016.

For the unversed, the late singer had revealed how he relates with the character of Tamatoa. It was a line in the song which Bappi Da loved the most while singing as Tamatoa. In a video shared by UTV Pictures on YouTube, Bappi Da had said, “there is a line which I really liked which suits my personality as well. ‘Yes, I love my gold honey! Like a shining treasure’.” Talking about the song he sings in Moana, the late singer had said, “The song is just stuck in my head, I can’t get rid of it.

It was no secret that Bappi Da loved his gold! He had often shared during interviews that ‘Gold’ was lucky for him. The singer would always be clicked wearing his gold chains, rings, bracelets, and a watch.

Bappi Da breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital. His last rites will take place on February 17, mid-morning. The late singer passed away due to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The doctors revealed the reason behind Bappi Da’s death.
