Boycott Kareena Kapoor Khan trends after actress demands Rs 12 crore for Sita’s role

Kareena Kapoor Khan has gone viral all over the internet as many have called a boycott on her for playing Sita’s role. This has come days after reports of Kareena Kapoor demanding a whopping Rs 12 crore for Sita’s role have come to light. Boycott Kareena Kapoor Khan began trending in no time as word spread out. Reasons for Kareena’s boycott go from the fact that she is the ‘amma’ of Taimur Ali Khan to the fact that she is married to Saif Ali Khan who is a divorced man.

Netizens allege that Kareena will be hurting the Hindu sentiments if she is to play Sita. Some even said that demanding a huge amount of Rs 12 crore is way too much and some said that it is ‘against humanity’. #BoycottKareenaKhan is trending on Twitter with users slamming the actress with one of the tweet reading, “Married to a divorced Husband having two Kids, KAREENA will play role of “Mata Sita”.How dare she even think of it?(sic),” another read, “Saif Ali Khan’s wife and The mother of Taimur can not play the role of Mata Sita . The producer has no right to play with our sentiment. #BoycottKareenaKhan and boycott the producer director too.”

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, a source had revealed, “Kareena who usually asks for INR 6-8 crores for films has quoted a sum of INR 12 crores which have put the producers in a tizzy. In fact, right now, they are reconsidering their decision and in talks to take the film to a younger actress instead. But Kareena still remains the first choice.”
