BTS is currently gearing up for the release of their new album and amid this, as per reports, the k-pop band is to skip the Billboard Music Awards this year due to their jam-packed schedule. This has come as heartbreaking news to the BTS ARMY as the band has the highest number of nominations at the award show.

As per a report by Allkpop, Billboard Awards will take place in Las Vegas on May 15 and BTS has decided to skip the music awards. BTS members RM, Suga, V, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, and Jungkook were nominated for the categories Top duo/group, Top song sales artist, Top billboard global artist (excluding the U.S.), Top selling song (nominated twice with Butter and Permission To Dance), Top Billboard global song (excluding the U.S.), and Top rock song.

These seven nominations made history as they have been the highest number ever for any group or duo at the Billboard Music Awards. But looks like BTS has been giving all their focus on the release of their new album. But ARMY can breathe a sigh of relief as the band will be giving an acceptance speech if they are winning any of the nominations.
