Shahid Kapoor has backed the student protests over the NEET-UG paper leak with an Instagram post questioning the education system. His remarks added to wider calls for accountability, reforms and restoring young people’s faith in education. Shahid reflected on the importance of restoring young people’s faith in education, asking what happens when the very generation the system is meant to serve begins to lose trust in it. “What will happen if the very youth that the education system is made for doesn’t believe in it anymore?” Shahid wrote.

When asked by the pap if PM Modi should respond, Kangna said, “Bilkul dena chahiye. Balki unko toh wahan aakar poochhna chahiye. Because jo youth generation hai, unhi ki wajah se woh bane hain. Aur un par lathi chal rahi hai. Yeh dekhkar humein bahut dukh hota hai. Jab hum kisi government ko chunte hain, toh woh hamare bachchon ke liye hoti hai. Aur agar unke saath aisa ho raha hai, toh phir dekhne ke liye aur kya baaki reh gaya hai? It’s very, very wrong.”

She continued, “Modi ji ko aana chahiye, ya kisi bhi zimmedar minister ko. Maine kisi minister ko wahan aate hue nahi dekha, na hi kisi ko bachchon se poochhte hue dekha. Woh itne dino se hartal par baithe hue hain. Aakar bachchon se baat toh kijiye. Unki wajah se itne logon ki zindagi prabhavit hui hai. Paper ke liye log kitni mehnat karte hain, kitne intelligent hote hain, lekin koi unki sun hi nahi raha. Toh yeh bahut galat hai. Main is cheez ko bilkul support nahi karti.”

What Happened At Jantar Mantar?

The protests at Jantar Mantar, spearheaded by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), have intensified over the past few weeks. It comes after educator and environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk began an indefinite hunger strike, which has now entered its 25th day. On Monday, students from different parts of the country gathered in New Delhi. They marched towards Parliament as the Monsoon Session commenced. The march was stopped by the Delhi Police, leading to clashes that sparked widespread criticism and debate on social media.

The protesters have been demanding a dialogue with the Central government. They are seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. It is over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak and other alleged irregularities in the examination process. 2 more demands follow after his resignation.
