Did Shah Rukh Khan reject Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3? Here’s what we know

Shah Rukh Khan is busy with his multiple projects such as Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. King Khan’s fans are now eagerly awaiting for an update on Don 3. Recently, Farhan Akhtar’s photo of getting ready to write, and Amitabh Bachchan sharing a throwback photo with SRK signing Don poster, created a buzz on internet.Fans waited with bated breaths for the official announcement to be made. Sadly they will have to wait a little longer as SRK has reportedly not given his nod to the film.

Reportedly Don 3 was offered to Shah Rukh Khan by Farhan Akhtar, However, he turned it down for now.

As reported by sources to Bollywood Hungama, “”It’s not like Shah Rukh Khan didn’t like Don 3 script. It’s just that Shah Rukh was not fully convinced. He knows Don is an iconic role and would like to step back into the character once he’s completely confident of the script. The box office scenario is not very healthy and he wants to be doubly sure before signing on the dotted line.”

Sources added, “Farhan Akhtar has gone back to the drawing board and we can hope that the next time he meets SRK, the superstar will happily sign Don 3.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan has  YRF’s Pathaan. The movie also features Deepika Padukone as the female lead. John Abraham plays an antagonist while Salman Khan will also be seen in a cameo.

He also has Rajkumar Hirani’s immigration drama, Dunki, which also stars Taapsee Pannu. The Badshah is also teaming up with Atlee for Jawan. The film will also feature Nayanthara, Priyamani, Vijay Sethupathi and Sanya Malhotra.
