Just a few days ago, prominent industry figures and studio heads were seen leaving Aamir’s Mumbai residence, sparking widespread speculation about the gathering’s purpose. The unexpected assembly of industry insiders fueled rumours of a major collaboration or an important announcement. Among those seen leaving were producers like Karan Johar (Dharma Productions), Sajid Nadiadwala (Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment), Ektaa Kapoor (Balaji Telefilms Joint MD), Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani (Excel Entertainment), Zoya Akhtar (Tiger Baby Films), and Punit Goenka (Zee Entertainment MD and CEO). As per a report, Aamir Khan has become a mediator between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar over the Don 3 controversy.

Until now, sources close to the situation had kept details under wraps. However, an insider has told HT City that one of the meetings was specifically aimed at resolving a long-standing issue involving a top star and Excel Entertainment. Given recent headlines about the dispute between actor Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar’s production house, it appears the meeting was convened to address and resolve these ongoing tensions, and Aamir Khan has become the peacemaker.
“Aamir is trying to resolve the issues between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment. The two have had some unresolved issues, which have caught the eye. The meetings at his place are for the same,” reveals the source.
Ranveer VS Farhan’s Don 3 Controversy
A major dispute erupted between actor Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment following Ranveer’s decision to exit the highly anticipated film Don 3. The Producers Guild of India has stepped in to mediate the matter. The core of the disagreement revolves around Excel Entertainment’s demand for Rs 40 crore in compensation from Ranveer, covering pre-production costs, scheduling delays, and related losses.
While the production house claims that extensive work was already done with Ranveer’s approval, the actor reportedly left the project due to dissatisfaction with the script, a lack of a finalised “bound script,” and perceived unprofessionalism in project management. Ranveer has countered the demand, asserting that he did not take any advance payment and highlighting that he was not compensated for his time when other projects, such as Bhaijaan and Baiju Bawra, were shelved.
