Aditi Rao Hydari is back to entice everyone with her upcoming film Ajeeb Dastaans. Co-starring Konkana Sen Sharma, Ajeeb Dastaaans is all set to release on Netflix on April 16, 2021. Before the gripping tale reaches the audience, Bollywood Bubble got into an exclusive and candid chat with Aditi Rao Hydari. The actress opened up about the anthology, dabbling conditioning and sexuality, moral compasses of the characters and more.

She shared the reactions she got for having multiple skills and talents. “I was actually told, you can sing also, you can dance also, you can act also, you look good also, so how do we position you?” Aditi shared. The actress was surprised knowing that being multi-talented can also be an issue. She continued, “I was like, ‘Oh My God, this is a problem?’ I went onto cry thinking this is also a problem now, what am I going to do?”

The actress feels everyone goes through such things in life. But, she believes in looking at the positive side of the story. “We all deal with all this yaar, but we grow up. I feel we’re still learning and growing. What is really important to me, at the bottom of it all is – ‘intention.’ My intent, why do I do certain films, why do I work with certain people and more. And that is the only thing I can control. I can only work to the best of my ability and give my 100%,” Aditi expressed.

“I feel like when you find a career, especially a career like us, a lot of people tell you how you should be there is a prototype of how you should look, or how a heroine should look. There are so many things and so many people tell you so many things,” she added.

Ask Aditi if she has ever felt she did not get a role, despite being a deserving candidate, she has an optimistic outlook. “My brain does not function that way. Either I can wake up in the morning and choose to look at all the good things, or crib about the things that are not happening. I choose to look at all the beautiful things that are happening to me,” she reiterated.

“I have worked with a lot of filmmakers that I have been dying to work with. I have worked with so many incredible people who protected me, yet given me so much freedom, made me feel fearless and valued,” she went on.

“Having said that, of course, there are certain factual things yaa. Every industry, be it the film industry, business or family, family is going to have more access, and that is a fact. Now since we’re established, let’s start working and enjoying life, that’s all we can do,” Aditi concluded.
