Fawad Khan Vaani Kapoor Aabeer Gulaal

Following India’s Operation Sindoor in May this year, several national film associations as well as citizens of India demanded a ban on the release of Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s Aabeer Gulaal in the country. Following that demand, the film’s release in India was halted but was se to release on September 12 globally.

Now, as per a recent media report, the film is all set to release in India and a source in the know has revealed the date. Scroll below to know the details.

Fawad Khan-Vaani Kapoor’s Aabeer Gulaal To Release In India

A source in the know told Bollywood Hungama, “Aabeer Gulaal has released today, that is, September 12, across the globe. The team of Indian Stories Limited (UK) have now made the decision to release the film in cinemas in India two weeks from now, on September 26.” The insider continued, “They are confident of the product and feel that the film, which is a simple and sweet love story, has the potential to attract the audience everywhere, including India. Moreover, no other film is scheduled for a release on September 26 and hence, Aabeer Gulaal will enjoy a solo release in the country.”

Produced by Vivek B Agrawal, Raza Namazi and Firuzi Khan, Aabeer Gulaal is directed by Aarti S Bagdi. The music is composed by Amit Trivedi with its lyrics penned by Kumaar. In the film, Fawad Khan essays the role of Aabeer Singh – a guarded restaurateur with a complicated past, while Vaani Kapoor plays Gulaal Bajaj – a spirited individual who escapes an arranged marriage and lands in London,

The film also stars Riddhi Dogra, Lisa Haydon, Farida Jalal, Soni Razdan, Parmeet Sethi, Rahul Vohra, Amrit Sandhu, Sujoy De, Dev Agrawal, Hiten Patel, Sophie Lovell Anderson, Mohammed Ibrahim hoque and Gandhar Babre in pivotal roles. Aabeer Gulaal released worldwide today, September 12.
