Pralay: Ranveer Singh To Begin Filming Next Month; To Take Paternity Leave Around Diwali- Report

Ranveer Singh is currently in one of his best phases of his life – be it personal or professional. The actor – who recently delivered a Rs 3000 crore blockbuster with the Dhurandhar franchise and is all set to welcome baby No 2 with Deepika Padukone, is now all set to kickstart filming Jai Mehta’s Pralay soon. Ranveer Singh To Begin Filming Pralay Next Month

As per a Variety India report, Ranveer Singh will begin shooting Pralay next month, that is, in August. The actor is expected to continue filming the zombie thriller until Diwali, following which production will reportedly take a pause. This pause is not only because of the festival but also because Ranveer will be taking his paternity break following the birth of his second child with Deepika Padukone.

The second schedule of the film is expected to resume in 2027.

A few days ago, Pinkvilla reported that a significant portion of Pralay will be shot in Australia. They quoted a source saying, “Ranveer will start shooting for the Jai Mehta directorial in the second half of 2026. The shoot is planned in Australia, and he has already kick-started prep. This is a film that requires intense physical and emotional preparation, given the scale and genre.”

Ranveer’s Personal & Professional Life

On the personal front, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone – who tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed daughter Dua in September 2024, announced their second pregnancy in April this year. They made the announcement via joint post featuring Dua showing off the positive preganancy test.

On the professional front, Ranveer will be seen in the upcoming zombie thriller. This film will see the Dhurandhar star stepping into a new genre, adding another interesting title to his diverse filmography. At the moment, details about the cast and storyline of Pralay are being kept under wraps.
