Earlier, Gangubai Kathiawadi was slated to hit the screens on September 11, 2020, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown, it got postponed. The film is adapted from one of the chapters of the book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ by Hussain Zaidi.
