Half Girlfriend

Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer ‘Half Girlfriend’ will be releasing in 2500 plus screens in India. Managing Director of NH Studioz, Shreyans Hirawat has bagged the distribution rights of the movie and they have released an official statement on the same. The director says, “We are extremely happy to have associated with Balaji Motion Pictures for ‘Half Girlfriend’. Based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel and directed by Mohit Suri, we feel the film will definitely appeal to the younger generation and we are happy to bring this film to audiences in over 2500 screens.”

‘Half Girlfriend’ is adapted from Chetan Bhagat’s best-selling novel of the same name. It’s an intense love story that explores the relationship between two individuals. Arjun Kapoor’s character of Madhav Jha, a Bihari guy, is madly in love with Shraddha Kapoor’s character Riya Somani, an English-speaking Delhiite, but she is only his ‘Half Girlfriend’. The common theme that binds them together is the sport of basketball. The movie is set in the backdrop of Delhi, Patna and New York.

‘Half Girlfriend’ is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Chetan Bhagat. The movie is scheduled to release on May 19, 2017.
