The highly anticipated comeback film of Imran Khan, Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, has been delayed, with the original release scheduled for early 2026. While Imran’s return to acting may have been hinted at by a cameo in the recently released Happy Patel Khatarnaak Jasoos, the wait for a full-fledged comeback has now been extended. Sources reveal that his film, co-starring Bhumi Satish Pednekkar, is facing postponement.
Imran Khan-Led Adhure Hum Adhure Tum With Bhumi Pednekkar Postponed?
According to a source close to HT City, “The film, directed by Danish Aslam, was initially set to release on a streaming platform in early 2026. However, the person managing the project from the platform is no longer involved for the past month, which has disrupted the schedule. The makers are now aiming for a release around July or August.” The film also features actor Gurfateh Pirzada in a key role.
Further details suggest that the story draws heavily from Imran’s own life. “It’s a mature romantic comedy inspired by his personal experiences with marriage and separation, making it a deeply personal project for him,” the source added.
Imran’s Bollywood Career
Imran’s comeback has been generating buzz for the past two years, especially with his active presence on social media. His last leading role was in the 2015 rom-com Katti Batti, after which he established a niche for himself in films like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and Break ke Baad, which remain some of his most popular works. Imran starred in several romantic comedies such as I Hate Luv Storys (2010), Break Ke Baad (2010), and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011). In 2011, he took a risk with the dark comedy Delhi Belly, produced by Aamir Khan.
