Since Thursday morning, news about ‘Padmavati’ getting a certificate from the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) and is all set to release on December 1 is doing the rounds. This of course left all of us confused as it would be the first time when the India release of a Bollywood film is uncertain but it gets a fixed release date internationally. Hence we got in touch with the makers and they have said that ‘Padmavati’ WILL NOT release internationally before its India release.

Earlier the BBFC tweet read, “PADMAVATI (12A) moderate violence, injury detail

The website stated that the release date of the film is 1st December which was the original release date of the film worldwide. We are guessing that the film went for certification before the makers announced the delay in the film’s release.

But this clarification regarding the UK release date definitely clears the air and the international release date along with the India release date is also put on hold. (Also Read: Deepika Padukone: I can’t wait to be a homemaker)
