Karisma Kapoor's Kids Challenge Sunjay Kapur's Will, Claim Signature Is Fake

The Delhi High Court has directed Priya Sachdev Kapur to respond to a fresh plea filed by Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, who are challenging the authenticity of their late father Sunjay Kapur’s will. The siblings have requested access to inspect the original document, alleging that the will presented by Priya—Sunjay’s third wife—is forged and designed to exclude them from their father’s estate.

Karisma Kapoor’s Kids Claim Sunjay Kapur’s Signature On Will Were Fake

Following a hearing on November 17, Joint Registrar (Judicial) Gagandeep Jindal issued notices to Priya and executor Shradha Suri Marwah, asking them to file their replies within three weeks. The matter is next scheduled for December 16.

According to the children’s plea, examining the original will is crucial to verify its genuineness, as the certified copy provided to them is insufficient for proper scrutiny. Their petition follows earlier arguments by Priya’s counsel, who dismissed their claims as “bogus and baseless,” stating that minor spelling mistakes cannot invalidate a will, especially when Sunjay’s signature had not been disputed—an assertion the children are now directly challenging.

Alongside this, Samaira and Kiaan have also sought an interim injunction to prevent Priya from alienating them from Sunjay’s assets, with the next hearing for that application set for November 20. Sunjay Kapur, a businessman, passed away in London in June during a polo match. He was married to Karisma Kapoor from 2003 to 2016, with whom he had two children, and later married Priya Sachdev in 2017.
