Kartik Aaryan Teams Up With Shimit Amin’s Biopic Captain India; To Begin Filming In 2026- Report

Recent reports indicate that filmmaker Shimit Amin has commenced working on his next project, this time starring Kartik Aaryan. The film, titled Captain India, is reportedly scheduled to begin filming in the first half of 2026. Additionally, Captain India has been added to Kartik Aaryan’s impressive lineup of upcoming films.

Kartik Aaryan To Star In Shimit Amin’s Captain India

According to Pinkvilla, “Kartik Aaryan and Shimit Amin have been in discussions for the past year, exploring various subjects for a potential collaboration. It was during these talks that Kartik introduced Shimit to the story of Captain India, which the filmmaker found to be a captivating story.”

The report further states, “Shimit Amin has crafted a compelling screenplay for Captain India and is planning to start filming with Kartik Aaryan in the first half of 2026. When Shimit narrated the story to Kartik, the actor was thoroughly impressed. The shooting is planned to take place in India and Morocco, with a team having already completed the location recce in Morocco.”

Kartik Aaryan is set to portray the real-life story of an Air Force Captain. The film is expected to begin shooting in mid-March to early April 2026, with a possible release in 2027.

Kartik’s Upcoming Projects

Currently, Kartik is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera. He is shooting in Jaipur and Agra alongside Ananya Panday. The duo recently returned to India after completing their shoot in Mexico. His other notable projects include an untitled film directed by Anurag Basu and Nagzilla, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.

Tu Meri Main Tera is scheduled to release in theatres on February 13, 2026, coinciding with Valentine’s Day.
