Kill 2 is reportedly in development, with Lakshya set to return as NSG commando Amrit Rathod. As per a report, the sequel will explore a new timeline and setting. Lakshya gained widespread recognition after the release of Kill, which made him a star with his impactful performance. Now, fans can rejoice as it appears he is on board for a sequel to the 2024 action thriller.
Lakshya’s Kill 2 To Begin Shooting This Year?
According to Variety India, Kill, known as one of the most violent films to emerge from Bollywood, will have a follow-up, aka Kill 2. The report confirms that Lakshya will reprise his role as NSG commando Amrit Rathod in the sequel. It also states that Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment have finalised the story. The team plans to begin shooting by September this year. While Lakshya will return to his role, the film will be set in a completely different timeline and environment.
About Kill
Kill follows the story of Amrit (Lakshya), an Indian Army commando who falls in love with Tulika (Tanya Maniktala). Their lives take a sharp turn when they are caught on a train hijacked by Fani (Raghav Juyal) and his gang of dacoits. They start killing passengers. With their martial arts skills pushed to the limit, Amrit and his friend Viresh undertake a perilous rescue mission, fighting fierce enemies to save the passengers.
Lakshya’s Project
Lakshya is currently preparing for his upcoming film Chand Mera Dil. It stars Ananya Panday and is scheduled for release on May 22. Presented by Dharma Productions, the film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Marijke deSouza. It has been directed by Vivek Soni.
