King: Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan Wrap Up 8 Day Intense Action Sequence For Siddharth Anand’s Thriller- Report

Based on the initial look and date announcement video of ‘King,’ the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer promises to be an action spectacle. The superstar and his daughter, Suhana Khan, recently wrapped up an eight-day action schedule at Ellora Studios in Bhayandar. A report says the sequence was set against Vijayadashami celebrations.

Sources told mid-day that the sequence plays out against the backdrop of Vijayadashami celebrations, and an elaborate set was designed for it. A source close to the production revealed, “The team recreated the scale and energy of a Vijayadashami procession with drums, colours, and the frenzy that is seen on the immersion day. Shah Rukh and Suhana shot with a huge crowd, consisting of hundreds of background performers, across eight nights. Suhana also performed several stunts.”

The makers have officially announced that King will hit theatres during the Christmas weekend. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the thriller will be releasing on December 24, 2026. King marks the first on-screen union of Shah Rukh and his daughter.

The announcement coincided with Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand’s celebration of Pathaan’s third anniversary. The film features Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi and Abhay Verma. Also seen will be Rani Mukerji, Saurabh Shukla, Raghav Juyal and more.

Alongside the release date, the makers unveiled striking visuals that offer a glimpse into the film’s world. Shah Rukh Khan is seen in a bold, fierce new look set against dramatic landscapes. This has heightened excitement and anticipation for the film’s upcoming release.
