Fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine can look forward to an Indian adaptation featuring Kunal Kemmu as Jake Peralta. Netflix India is developing a desi version of the beloved sitcom. Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans, get ready to say “Nine-Nine!” in Hindi! The popular American comedy is set to be remade for an Indian audience, with actor Kunal Kemmu stepping into the role of everyone’s favourite detective, Jake Peralta. According to reports, Netflix India is collaborating with Banijay Asia.

Kunal Kemmu Becomes Jake Peralta In The Indian Adaptation Of Brooklyn Nine-Nine

A report by PeepingMoon states that the series is scheduled to commence filming in October. While Kunal Kemmu has been finalised for the lead role, casting for Indian versions of characters like Captain Holt, Amy Santiago, and others is currently in progress. Kemmu is expected to start shooting after completing his other Netflix project, Single Papa.

Kunal Kemmu is renowned for his performances in comedy and action films such as Go Goa Gone, Lootcase, and the Golmaal franchise. He will now headline the Indian adaptation as the desi version of Jake Peralta. The series will be helmed by Rishab Seth, who is known for Rishta.com and Dhoom Dhaam. The writing duties are handled by Aarsh Vora.
