Lata Mangeshkar demise: Amitabh Bachchan, Shraddha Kapoor, Anupam Kher visit her residence to offer last respect

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away today, on February 6 in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. A while back, the veteran singer was taken to the intensive care unit after testing positive for COVID-19. She was on the ventilator for quite some time. Much to everyone’s dismay, she breathed her last on Sunday at the age of 92. Now, after sharing heartfelt tributes on social media, some of the Bollywood celebs were spotted outside Lata’s residence to offer their last respect. 

Amitabh Bachchan came with his daughter Shweta Bachchan whereas Shraddha Kapoor is a distant relative to Lata Mangeshkar also seen outside her residence. She fondly calls her Lata Aaji. Just recently, Big B shared a heartfelt note for the legendary singer saying, “She has left us ..The voice of a million centuries has left us .. her voice resounds now in the Heavens ! Prayers for calm and peace.” Even lyricists Javed Akhtar, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, singer Lalit Sen were seen at Lata Mangeshkar’s home. 

Moreover, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Anupam Kher, Madhur Bhandarkar and others were outside her residence. Check out the posts here:

Meanwhile, reportedly, the legendary singer’s mortal remains were taken to her home Prabhu Kunj at 12:30 PM. She will be cremated at 6:30 PM in the evening. Lata’s mortal remains will be kept at her home till 3 pm for people to pay their last respects. Then they will be taken to Shivaji Park where her last rites will be performed. 

Along with the Prime Minister, other politicians and Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and others offered their respects and condolences.
