Veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away after battling a long illness. He was 98. The actor was recently hospitalized after he complained of breathing issues. However, after a thorough check-up, pictures of Saira Banu leaving the hospital with Dilip Saab had gone viral. This has definitely shocked the entire nation and is a huge loss to Indian cinema.

Dilip Kumar’s Twitter account handled by his manager confirmed the news and wrote, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. – Faisal Farooqui.” Dilip Kumar was hospitalised many times in the last few years because of his ill health. The last update before he passed away was of Saira Banu assuring fans of Dilip Ji being stable. She had written, “We are grateful for God’s infinite mercy on Dilip Sahib that his health is improving. We are still in hospital and request your prayers and duas so that Insha’Allah he is healthy and discharged soon. Saira Banu Khan.” Unfortunately, the actor succumbed to his illness on Wednesday.
