The official posters of the movie are shared on social media. What stood out was Riteish Deshmukh’s character in the posters. The actor plays a vertically challenged antagonist named Vishnu and his first look suggests it’s a strong character. Riteish looks intriguing in the role of Vishnu. The posters have a three-feet-tall Riteish with rage in his eyes and a long barrel pistol in his right hand. Long hair with two cuts on his face and a heavy beard further complete his look as the villain.

Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh have been pitted against each other in ‘Ek Villian’ (2014). According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Riteish wasn’t keen on playing a negative role again. So the makers have decided to give the character a twist. They made him a midget but gave him a larger-than-life personality.  Director Milap Zaveri said, “We decided to make his villain three-foot-tall but larger-than-life midget with a wicked sense of humour. His Vishnu is arrogant and thinks he is invincible.

Comparisons to Shah Rukh Khan’s character in ‘Zero’ were bound to happen, Milap cleared the confusion saying, “Shah Rukh played a smaller version of himself. We storyboarded the screenplay and had a midget gentleman on the sets for Riteish to imbibe certain mannerisms and ensure he didn’t go overboard or underplay the physical aspects of the character.

‘Marjaavaan’ will hit the theatres on 22nd November this year.
