Monica Dogra to both sing and act in ‘Haaye Dil’

Monica Dogra , who is generally known for her serious roles in films like “David” and “Dhobi Ghat” is not only acting but also lending her soulful voice to sing a song in upcoming Bollywood rom-com “Haaye Dil”.

“The song is called ‘yeh dil’ which is a fun tune about freedom, love and the pursuit of magic .It was really fun tracking the song with Jubin Nautyal and Rocky Khanna- the writers of the song,” the actress said in a statement.

“It was definitely a group effort as I needed to nail the recording right before getting on a plane to the US. But everything worked out great! The indie queen herself penned down a part of the song, something which was very challenging for her given her language barriers. Nevertheless, she trained herself hard and recorded the song in no time before she flew out,” she added.

This has been a lucky year for the star, apart from acting Monica is making space for her music at the same time.
