Its official Shahid Kapoor to star in Hindi remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’

Its good news for Shahid Kapoor’s fans. Contrary to reports of Arjun Kapoor being finalized for Hindi remake of 2017 Telugu hit ‘Arjun Reddy’ the latest reports have confirmed that Shahid Kapoor has given green signal to the remake.

The Hindi remake of the film will be helmed by its original director Sandeep Vanga who will be making his Bollywood directorial debut with this remake. While Murad Khetani and Ashwin Warde will be producing the film.

A source close to the film was quoted saying in Mumbai Mirror as, “The film is scheduled to go on the floors in July and the team is looking for an actress opposite Shahid at the moment. While the locations are yet to be finalised, the plan is to shoot in India as well as abroad.” (Also Read: Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif & Shraddha Kapoor enthral the audience at a Sangeet)

Apparently Shahid had been in talks for the lead role for a while and now that he is on board the makers are looking out for the female lead of the film. Well it has to be seen now who the makers finalize opposite Shahid in this remake.

On work front Shahid is currently shooting for ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ director Shree Narayan Singh’s next film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’. The film also stars Yami Gautam and Shraddha Kapoor in pivotal roles.
