Ranveer Singh

Actor Ranveer Singh has shared his first social media update amid the ongoing Don 3 controversy. The actor recently posted a photograph with Arsenal and England midfielder Declan Rice from Budapest, drawing attention from both football and Bollywood fans. The post comes days after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against him following the Don 3 dispute.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Ranveer shared a picture of himself posing alongside Declan Rice in a relaxed setting. Keeping the caption short, the actor wrote, “About last night,” followed by two heart emojis.

The photograph quickly went viral online, especially as it marked Ranveer’s first public post since the controversy surrounding his reported exit from Don 3 intensified. While the purpose of his visit to the Hungarian capital remains unclear, the unexpected crossover between the Bollywood star and the football midfielder generated considerable buzz on social media.

About The Don 3 Dispute

On Monday, the FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer after Farhan Akhtar approached them regarding the Don 3 dispute in April. Following this, Ranveer’s spokesperson issued a statement addressing the dispute on his behalf. It read, “Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence. Believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect.”

After Shah Rukh Khan headlined Farhan’s Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011), it was announced in 2023 that Ranveer would headline Don 3. Reports of a dispute between Ranveer, Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment surfaced in December 2025 when the actor is said to have walked out of the film abruptly after the success of his Dhurandhar with filmmaker Aditya Dhar. Last month, Farhan approached the FWICE, claiming Ranveer’s exit from the film had caused him monetary losses amounting to Rs 45 crore.

On the work front, Ranveer is currently riding high on the success of Dhurandhar, which emerged as one of the biggest box-office successes of the year. He is next set to headline Pralay, a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller that will also mark his debut as a producer. The ambitious project, directed by Jai Mehta, is reportedly scheduled to go on floors in August 2026.
