The news arrived in the middle of IPL 2026, where Suryakumar is currently playing for the Mumbai Indians. According to reports, the batter stayed back from travelling with the squad to Raipur earlier this week due to family commitments. Suryakumar and Devisha, who got married in July 2016, had also celebrated their baby shower earlier this year in March.

Soon after the post went live, several Bollywood celebrities filled the comments section with warm wishes for the couple and their newborn daughter. Actor Anushka Sharma commented, “Congratulations”.

Ranveer Singh was among the first celebrities to react to the announcement. The actor welcomed Suryakumar into the ‘girl dad’ club and wrote, “God bless!” along with a string of heart emojis. Ranveer is also currently expecting his second child with wife Deepika Padukone.
