Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after three days of interrogation in relation to the drug probe of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. The actress was presented in front of the magistrate at 7:30 pm via video conferencing and now the verdict is out.

Deputy DG Ashok Jain had informed that the agency will ask for Rhea’s judicial custody for 14 days till September 21. Rhea had admitted during the interrogation that she was organising drugs for the late actor and also using them sometimes. The actress has been arrested under sections 89(c), 20(b), 27(a), 28 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).

Now, Rhea will be in remand for 14 days of Judicial custody and she could apply for bail that was underway. But, her bail plea has been rejected by the court.

Earlier, talking about her arrest, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said in his statement, “Travesty of Justice. 3 Central Agencies hounding single Woman , just because she was in love with a Drug Addict who was suffering from Mental Health issues for several years under care of 5 Leading Psychiatrists and then committed suicide (sic).”
