Richa Chadha is without a doubt one of the most outspoken actresses we have in today’s times. The actress has never shied away from calling a spade a spade, and she has time and again stood by her statements. Even now, her film Madam Chief Minister is getting a lot of flak from certain categories of the audience who think it to be an inappropriate representation of the Dalits. So much so now a certain person has offered money in exchange for cutting off Richa’s tongue, and it’s been printed on the news dailies. How pathetic!

Richa was informed of a certain person inciting violent threats against her since the release of the trailer of Madam Chief Minister. Nawab Satpal Tanwar, who is reportedly founder of Akhil Bhartiya Bhim Sena has been continuously making and uploading videos on social media platforms to instigate hate and violence towards the actress and her film. Not just that, the said politician even openly issued death threats and has now said that he wants to chop her tongue off and is offering a reward to someone who can do so.

Richa hit back at one such information last evening on Twitter saying, “Hum Nahi Darrte (I’m not scared) (sic).” Check out her response right here:

Ridiculous as is, the act of openly threatening on public platforms claiming to harm anyone’s life is condemnable and goes onto show the agenda with which these threats are being issued. The Bhim Army, a Dalit party with national presence has condemned this threat and said that they are not to be confused with Tomar’s Bhim Sena. Actress Swara Bhasker also condemned these threats and Tweeted, “This is absolutely shameful & to be condemned in no uncertain terms. You can have ideological issues & problems with a film but this is criminal intimidation & incitement to violence. Ambedkarites, Dalit feminists & just sane people- stand up & call this out! @RichaChadha #NotOk (sic).

Let’s wait and watch whether the relevant authorities take any action against the said person or not. Madam Chief Minister is all set to release in theatres on Jan 29. Stay hooked onto Bollywood Bubble for more such interesting stories.
