Roopa Ganguly on Payal Ghosh’s #MeToo allegations against Anurag Kashyap: Why Mumbai Police is not taking any action against him?

After actress Payal Ghosh accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment several celebs came out in support of the filmmaker. Whereas Bharatiya Janata Party’s Member of Parliament and veteran actress Roopa Ganguly has extended her support to Payal.

Ganguly has raised the question as to why the Mumbai police have still not taken any action against Anurag. She even accused the film industry of killing people and making them drug addict.

According to a report by ANI, Roopa while commenting on the film industry, said, “Mumbai film industry kills people, makes them drug addict, and keep insulting a woman, but nobody is doing anything. Mumbai Police remains silent. It does not take action.”

Speaking about Payal’s allegations on Anurag, Roopa asked, “Why is the Bollywood silent over the sexual harassment charges levelled by Payal Ghosh against Anurag Kashyap? Why Mumbai Police is not taking any action against Anurag Kashyap?”

Anurag has refuted all the allegations of sexual misconduct and called them ‘malicoius and dishonest’. Whereas Payal told ABP News, “My advocate will file the complaint today. Most possible in the evening but I can’t confirm the time.”

Several Bollywood celebs like Taapsee Pannu and Saiyami Kher have come out in support of Anurag. In fact, even the filmmakers’ ex-wives Aarti Bajaj and Kalki Koechlin have extended their support to him.
