RRR: Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt starrer new release date confirmed

The makers of RRR have finalised a new release date. Ram Charan, Jr NTR starrer will now hit the theatres on March 25, 2022. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the magnum opus was earlier slated to release on January 7, but due to the spike in Covid-19 cases, it was postponed. On Monday, the makers took to Twitter and wrote, “#RRRonMarch25th, 2022… FINALISED! FireWater wave #RRRMovie”.

Earlier, the makers said that the movie might release in March if the situation gets better. Otherwise, they will release it in April this year. The official statement read, “If the pandemic situation in the country gets better and all theatres open up to operate at full capacity, we are ready to release the film on 18th March. Otherwise, RRR movie will release on 28th April 2022.”

RRR is one of the most awaited movies. The movie has created a lot of hype since its announcement. It is set in pre-independence India, and it’s about the celebrated freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, played by Jr. NTR and Ram Charan respectively. Apart from Ram Charan and Jr NTR, and Alia Bhatt, the movie also stars Ajay Devgn.

The period action drama is produced by D.V.V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments. MM Keeravani is the music composer. The film is said to be made on a whopping budget of Rs 450 crore. PEN Studios has bagged the theatrical distribution rights across North India and have also bought the worldwide electronic rights for all languages.
