A source said, “Sanju has been training hard to learn a particular form of martial arts for the last couple of months, as he’s very excited about the film. He’s ready to shoot, but now there’s a major problem — shooting begins abroad from August, but the female lead is yet to be finalised. Athiya Shetty, who was offered the film, has not even heard the script yet. While Siddharth is keen to rope in Kriti Sanon, she has not shown much interest. Siddharth had promised the producers that he would get Kriti on board a couple of months ago, but he has not been able to deliver. Now the producers are getting impatient with the shooting date approaching and putting pressure on him while he’s hunting for another heroine in place of Kriti. The latest is that she met Siddharth and the producers yesterday.”

“The producers have a contract with Siddharth so the option is either they make the film with him, or they shelve it. In all likelihood, the latter will happen,” the source added.

Sanjay will now apparently start with ‘Marco Bhau’ which will be directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sister, Shelly Chopra. The movie was all set to go on floors in October, but now it might get preponed.
