Bollywood has been left in a state of shock after learning about the sudden passing away of veteran actor Satish Shah. The actor succumbed to kidney failure. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news of his demise and shared that Satish Shah passed away at the Hinduja Hospital. His body will be at his house in Bandra from 10 am to 11 am on 26th October. His last rites will be performed at Pawan Hans cremation ground S.V.Road (Vile Parle ( W). Mumbai at 12. Pm .

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, in his blog, also mourned the demise of his Bhoothnath co-star. Big B in his blog wrote, “Another day another work another quiet .. Another of us passes away .. Satish Shah , a young talent , and has left us at a very young age .. And the stars they favour not .. to us all .. And these times of the grim .. it bodes not well to express in normalcy .. foreboding us in all at each moment ..”

Sumeet Raghvan gets teary-eyed as he remembers ‘dad’ Satish Shah. Talking about the show, Sumeet said, “In 2004, we started a show and stopped it after 70 episodes. Because it didn’t work then. Today, 21 years later, that show has become the heartbeat of people’s hearts. The show is called Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. People have begun to identify with the characters of the show. They say, ‘I’m the Sahil of my house,’ ‘this is the Rosesh of our house’ and ‘my wife behaves just like Monisha’. But no one ever said, ‘This is the Indravadan of our home,’ because there was only one — Satish Kaka.”
An emotional Sumeet said that Satish was “struggling for some time.” “Today, he left us. As the show continues to grow, so does our bond. Whenever we met, we didn’t talk as Sumeet, Rupali or Rajesh. Then we are Sahil, Monisha, Rosesh, Dad, and Mom. That’s how we talk with each other. Today, the head of the Sarabhai family, our most senior member, has left us. Kaafi dino se woh joojh rahe the (He had been struggling for some days). Finally, life can be very cruel,” he added.

Satish Shah’s Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai co-star Rajesh Kumar, who played his son Rosesh in the show, mourned the veteran actor’s death. “This is the worst hour for me… I still cannot process that Satish ji is no more… all I can say is that it feels I have lost my father… A man full of life n humour. Satish Shah passed away due to kidney failure. P.D. Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre shared a statement, which read, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of veteran actor Mr Satish Shah. Earlier today, the hospital received an emergency call regarding Mr Shah’s health. An ambulance with a medical team was immediately sent to his residence, where he was found to be unresponsive. CPR was started in the ambulance and continued on arrival at P.D. Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre. Despite the best efforts of our medical team, Mr Shah could not be revived.”
