Shraddha Kapoor is gearing up to commence filming for Naagin in April, following the conclusion of Laxman Utekar’s Eetha, which is expected to wrap up by March. Despite sustaining an injury during a dance sequence, she remains dedicated to her schedule, transitioning from a physically demanding biopic to a high-concept fantasy project. As she approaches 2026, Shraddha is set for an ambitious year, balancing intense realism with imaginative fantasy roles. Even amid recovery, she shows no signs of slowing down, with reports indicating that her highly anticipated film Naagin is slated to begin production in April, just after she finishes Eetha.
Shraddha Kapoor To Wrap Up Filming Eetha In March?
Currently, she is in the final stages of shooting Eetha, a biopic directed by Laxman Utekar, known for Chhaava. In the film, Shraddha portrays the legendary Tamasha and Lavani artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar. The role has challenged her both physically and emotionally. The shoot experienced a brief halt after Shraddha injured herself during a demanding dance scene. However, as per recent updates suggest that this setback has not impacted the overall schedule.
Sources indicate that Eetha is likely to wrap by the end of March. “Shraddha has been very committed to Eetha. The role is both physically intensive and emotionally demanding, but she’s determined to complete the film within the planned timeframe. The team is confident they will finish shooting by March,” a production insider revealed to Mid-day. To authentically embody the iconic folk performer, Shraddha underwent months of rigorous physical training.
Shraddha Kapoor In Naagin
Even before finishing Eetha, preparations are underway for her next project—Naagin, a fantasy film that marks her return to large-scale mythological and fantasy storytelling. Industry insiders share that extensive groundwork has been laid to ensure the film’s success, especially given its reliance on visual effects and elaborate world-building.
According to Mid-day, “Naagin has been in development for quite some time, with the team meticulously working on everything from VFX to casting. With Shraddha confirmed, the remaining cast has been finalised, and shooting is scheduled to begin in April.” In this film, Shraddha is expected to adopt a shapeshifting persona, a stark departure from her grounded role in Eetha.
Despite her recent injury, Shraddha Kapoor’s busy schedule underscores her dedication to exploring diverse roles across genres. The actress, celebrated for her portrayal of a witch in Stree, is eager to elevate her craft further with Naagin.
