The latest release – Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Badla‘ that stars Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead, is being raved about for its performance and the way it’s been woven. The actors, along with Amrita Singh, have painted a canvas in such a beautiful manner that the audience has got hooked to it and how. The first day numbers of the film look decent and although the film has already recovered its money from all its other ancillary sources, the theatrical revenue will be an added bonus since Red Chillies Entertainment (the producing banner) market and distribute their own films.

But along with the three main leads, one actor who has got a lot of recognition is Tony Luke, who plays Taapsee’s boyfriend in the film who gets murdered. Although Tony has worked really hard on the film, the plan was to cast an A-list Bollywood actor for it. A source exclusively told Bollywood Bubble, “When John Abraham was doing the film, he had thought of Sooraj Pancholi. But when the film changed hands and Sujoy and Red Chillies came on board, they approached Sidharth Malhotra for the same”.

But the actor rejected the role upon hearing. “He was not ready to play the secondary role in a film which already has three primary characters. He also thought it would be detrimental for his career, at this point,” added the source.
